Cristian Reiter to take up post of Chief Technology Officer from October

Cristian Reiter, who currently serves as Vice President Packaging Systems at Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG, will take over as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from October 1, 2021. He will succeed Tim Slomp, who is leaving his role as a Managing Director at Uhlmann at the end of September to pursue new professional challenges.

"We are very happy to have such a valuable addition to our experienced management team, joining from within the Uhlmann management board. Cristian Reiter has been with our company since 2019 and has already demonstrated his comprehensive expertise, for example by reorganizing his business unit or with important strategic projects in the new machine business. We have a lot planned for the coming years and I am certain that Mr. Reiter will have a leading role in implementing our ambitious corporate strategy," explains Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Niemeyer, CEO of the Uhlmann Group and Uhlmann Pac-Systeme. Before joining Uhlmann, Cristian Reiter worked in mechanical and plant engineering for more than 15 years, most recently as a Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Homag Automation GmbH. "I am really looking forward to this new challenge and to actively contributing to the future of the company," says Cristian Reiter.

Mr. Reiter succeeds Tim Slomp, who contributed his development and production expertise to great success at Uhlmann over the past four years. He also played a particularly important role in effecting structural and organizational change and in comprehensively implementing lean management.

"We would like to thank Tim Slomp for the trusting cooperation, his great commitment and his valuable contributions over the past years. We wish him all the best for his private and professional endeavors," says Tobias Uhlmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Uhlmann Group and Uhlmann Pac-Systeme. "Our management board, which now consists of Cristian Reiter as CTO and our current managing directors Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Niemeyer (CEO), Michael Mrachacz (CSO) and Alexander Schöllhorn (CFO), will continue to do outstanding work for our business."
