Uhlmann at ACHEMA 2018
Pharmaceutical Packaging: Uhlmann Extends its Range of Solutions

“360° ADDED VALUE” is the pledge with which Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG appears at ACHEMA in Frankfurt (hall 3.0, F25) on June 11–15. The company will use the 575 square meter large booth to present a new blister line, an addition to the successful BEC series. Co-exhibitors at the stand are the Uhlmann Group Companies KOCH, Cremer, and visiotec, all with attractive exhibits. Uhlmann will demonstrate its digitalization solutions together with the Excellence United partner companies in hall 3.0. Visitors can look forward to being inspired at the joint exhibition area with its motto “Discover Digital Excellence”.

Two complete packaging lines will be on show at the Uhlmann ACHEMA stand. One main attraction will be the company’s presentation of a new member of the BEC family. “We want to offer the right blister line for every need and every budget. We are a decisive step closer to this goal with the new BEC,” explains Siegfried Drost, Managing Director at Uhlmann. The Blisters lines BEC 300, BEC 500, and BEC 700 are the top-selling Uhlmann machines. They operate successfully in around 50 countries worldwide. Particular characteristics of the compact combination incorporating a blister and a cartoner module include a high level of flexibility and very fast format changeovers.

New blister line and proven bottle line for solids in a new design

Uhlmann will demonstrate in Frankfurt its competency in the packaging of solid dose products with a new BEC blister line. This is combined with a compact, standalone unit, the Uhlmann Serialization Platform USP, for tracking and tracing, as well as a Case Packer E 4004. The second line seen in action at the Uhlmann stand is the Bottle line IBC 150, which fills bottles with tablets and capsules.

Uhlmann will also highlight other trends covering all aspects of pharmaceutical packaging. These include the upgrade of used machines, automation and software solutions using the SmartControl operating system, as well as the latest camera inspection systems. Furthermore, visitors can learn about the range of services and training options offered by Uhlmann, examples here are the new maintenance package MaintenancePlus or a new platform with videos on trouble shooting. “Where previously only machines were purchased, pharmaceutical manufacturers want integrated solutions these days: machine, equipment, training, and support services. We provide such an all-round range of products, which we are presenting under the motto '360° ADDED VALUE' at ACHEMA 2018”, says Ralph Breymaier, Head of Marketing at Uhlmann.
