Uhlmann will present the Bottle line IBC 150 – a pharmaceutically compliant packaging line for tablets and capsules in bottles – incorporating a Cremer tablet counting system for 100 percent counting accuracy.
Visitors to CIPM in Chongqing (China) can experience intelligent and perfect interplay between people, machines, and processes.

Uhlmann effectively present on the Chinese market

China is on the way to becoming the world’s largest pharmaceutical market. The Uhlmann Group, which specializes in integral solutions for the pharmaceutical packaging sector, has been represented in the region by its own company for over ten years and wants to further expand its market share. Against this background, the company group is participating in the China International Pharmaceutical Machinery Exposition (CIPM) in Chongqing on November 5–7.

Among the reasons for the growth of the Chinese pharmaceutical market are the rising income of the population, longer life expectancy, and the spread of chronic diseases. At the same time, the country is increasing its healthcare expenditure and strengthening the domestic pharmaceutical industry. “The development suits us very well. Both multinational pharmaceutical corporations and an increasing number of major Chinese manufacturers are using our packaging lines. We anticipate a marked rise in demand for our solutions, particularly from local pharmaceutical companies”, explains Jochen Scheil, Managing Director at Uhlmann Packaging Systems (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. in China.

The Uhlmann Group will present its extensive portfolio of innovative packaging lines, individually tailored service packages, and digital solutions for pharmaceutical packaging at the exhibition (booth S1-12). As a total solution provider, Uhlmann offers consultation, project management, implementation, and services from a single source. A line for the packaging of solid dose products in bottles, the IBC 150, will be presented at the CIPM. It is fitted with a tablet counter from Cremer Speciaalmachines in the Netherlands, specialists in 100 percent accurate counting of solid products. Another highlight at the exhibition is a high-performance flow-wrapper line. Cooperation with the Japanese manufacturer Fuji Machinery Co. Ltd. resulted in the integration of an Uhlmann Blister machine B 1440, a Fuji flow-wrapping machine, and an Uhlmann Cartoner C 2305. This customized solution packages tablet blisters in diffusion-resistant pillow packs and cartons for exportation to other climate zones.
Wonder Packing Machinery will demonstrate an eBL 350 made in China. This reliable and economically efficient line, incorporating both blister machine and cartoner, is aimed at the Asian and other global growth markets. Wonder will also exhibit a line for the packaging of four-side sealed sachets.
The Uhlmann Group is also centering its attention on innovative software solutions. The Uhlmann Software Suite enables extensive digitalization of the pharmaceutical packaging process – a topic that is gaining significance, particularly in view of rising labor costs and more stringent performance standards.
The comprehensive range of services in China completes the presentation. Uhlmann services meet every packaging need required by pharmaceutical companies worldwide: they cover consultation, suitable components, and efficient line operation.
