Uhlmann mourns for its Chairman of the Executive Board, Norbert Gruber. He died on July 4, 2020 among his family after a long, serious illness.

Uhlmann mourns for its Chairman of the Executive Board, Norbert Gruber. He died on July 4, 2020 among his family after a long, serious illness.

Since his appointment in February 2011, Norbert Gruber significantly contributed to the growth and success of the company group as Chairman of the Executive Board of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG. He also actively furthered establishment of Uhlmann Group Holding, the chair of which he took in October 2019. “The passing away of Norbert Gruber means the loss of a highly respected person who was strongly committed to our company. He enjoyed the full confidence of our family and the Supervisory Board, as well as great respect among managerial staff and employees. Uhlmann developed very positively under his outstanding dedication, his actions always being based on his high values”, says Tobias Uhlmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Uhlmann Group. “We are saddened by this loss. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to his family.”

The responsibilities of Norbert Gruber as Chairman of the Executive Board of Uhlmann Group Holding are presently being taken over provisionally by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Niemeyer, Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO). Until further notice, Uhlmann Pac-Systeme will be managed by the two Managing Directors Michael Mrachacz and Tim Slomp. The management structures are set for future operation with the existing executive team and the impending commencement of Alexander Schöllhorn as CFO of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme.
