Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG achieves 69 points in the EcoVadis Rating 2022 and thus secures the gold medal. "This outstanding performance reflects the commitment we apply to the issue of sustainability. Together with the various departments, we are implementing a wide range of measures to make Uhlmann even more sustainable. We are proud to be among the top five percent of all participating companies," said Carolyn Leung, Corporate Sustainability Manager at Uhlmann Group.

EcoVadis is an independent platform focusing on sustainability/corporate social responsibility (CSR) that evaluates companies in the four topic areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Progress through sustainability strategy
One important step for Uhlmann was the development of a sustainability strategy together with all its various departments, which contains clear goals and responsibilities. Other milestones in the past year included the introduction of an environmental management system, improvements in sustainable procurement, the development of a climate strategy and the associated entry into the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Tackling sustainability goals on an even more global basis
In 2023, the company will continue on its chosen course. "The ambition and the commitment shown by the colleagues are fantastic. Internally, we have already taken a number of significant steps. Now, we will work hard to make our product solutions even more sustainable, for example by identifying and reducing the carbon footprint of machines," explains Carolyn Leung.

In addition, the Uhlmann Group recently established sustainability management as a group-wide function, which will allow this important topic to be promoted on a worldwide basis going forward.
