Uhlmann Pac-Systeme expands sustainable infrastructure at its Laupheim site

With the opening of the new parking garage at the company's headquarters, employees now have a total of 743 parking spaces at their disposal. This includes 152 charging points for electric cars. They are powered by the photovoltaic system on the roof of the parking garage. With an output of 460 KW/p, it not only provides the energy for the charging stations, but also powers Plant 1. Over the next few months, the 130 bicycle parking spaces will be expanded to include eight parking spaces for bicycles with trailers or cargo bikes and twelve parking spaces with charging facilities for e-bikes.

The mobility behavior of employees is an important factor in the company's sustainability strategy. Uhlmann is gradually converting its fleet to electric vehicles. The charging stations in the new parking garage are also available to employees who already use an electric vehicle to commute to work.

Laupheim fire brigade is thankful for new fire blanket

Uhlmann Pac-Systeme has donated a fire blanket worth 2,500 euros to the Laupheim fire brigade to help it build up its own stock of fire blankets specially designed for extinguishing battery fires. On November 14, Alexander Schöllhorn, CFO & Managing Director of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, handed over the blanket to Andreas Bochtler, Commander of the Laupheim Fire Department and Head of the Fire and Civil Protection Department. Andreas Bochtler: "Battery fires place special demands on the firefighting team because they quickly develop very high levels of heat. A fire blanket like this protects our firefighters during their work. We are very grateful to Uhlmann for this. But of course, we hope that we won't have to use it in the future.”
