BEC 200

Its cost-effectiveness makes it suitable for all producers of nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals who require high packaging quality but still need to keep an eye on costs. A wide range of product shapes can be packaged on the BEC 200 in blisters and folding boxes. The short changeover time of the BEC 200 is a major advantage, especially for small batches and a correspondingly large number of format changes.

With a top speed of up to 200 blisters and 150 folding boxes per minute, the BEC 200 packs tablets, capsules and other solid products.

As demand grows, the output of the BEC 200 blister line can be increased. The feeding technology can be adapted and individually adjusted. If production needs to be increased, the line can produce up to 300 blisters per minute after an optional performance upgrade.

Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical producers can operate the pharma-grade BEC 200 blister line without lengthy training thanks to its high level of user-friendliness:

• The operating system guides even inexperienced personnel through format changeovers and provides support during operation.

The SmartControl operating system is a unique HMI (Human Machine Interface) with intuitive user guidance. The layout of the graphical user interface is clearly structured. This allows operators with little experience to quickly become familiar with the BEC 200.

Due to the few, lightweight format parts, a format change on the BEC 200 is possible in less than 30 minutes. During this time, just one person can replace all format parts without tools. SmartControl, Uhlmann's intuitive operating system, guides operators through the entire format changeover.

The Blister Express Center (BEC) 200 is designed to process easily recyclable monomaterials such as polypropylene as well as films made from renewable raw materials, for example PLA, reliably and efficiently.

Thanks to the two-part design of the BEC 200, the line can be configured to make ideal use of the space available on site. For example, the blister and cartoning module can be divided by a pharmaceutical wall or set up in an L-shape. The blister machine and cartoner can also be combined with other modules.

Like all Uhlmann components, the BEC 200 blister line can be integrated into existing or new IT environments. This applies to "Track & Trace" solutions from Uhlmann or other manufacturers as well as to the fully automated, digital processes of Production 4.0. The unique, open software platform Pexcite is particularly suitable for solving complex, digital requirements: manufacturer-independent and flexible, its diverse functions network machines and equipment along the entire pharmaceutical value chain.

The BEC 200 is only available with plate sealing, which offers the following advantages:

• Optimal results even with larger aluminum pockets or calendar packs
• Suitable for special cover films as well as for peel and peel-push blisters
• Horizontal foil gradient
• Constant sealing time independent of the number of cycles

Whether standard formats or special applications, gentle plate sealing enables packaging of a wide variety of solid formats on the Blister Express Center (BEC) 200, for example in large-format aluminum-aluminum or child-resistant blisters. With a maximum format range of 200 x 145 mm and a maximum folding box height of 170 mm, an enormous variety of folding box sizes or formats can be implemented. Drawing depths of 12 mm are possible with the forming film without performance restrictions.

The Uhlmann Track & Trace system can be easily integrated into any line. Sufficient space is available in the cartoner of the BEC 200 for camera and printing systems. In addition, Uhlmann offers corresponding software solutions for Track & Trace.

The BEC 200 can be combined with all standard Uhlmann feeders: vibratory feeder, brush-in feeder or SimTap feeder. Equipping with multiple feeders is also possible. For this purpose, the filling section is extended accordingly. For special requirements, Uhlmann's team of experts will work with you to develop a customized solution.

Yes, linking with other Uhlmann cartoners is possible.

As far as installation in the production room is concerned, the BEC 200 is extremely flexible. The blister machine and cartoner can be set up in-line, offset or at an angle to each other.
